Inventory Management and Warehousing

Describing how the company manages the process of inventories and their warehouse.

1. They use private warehouse.

 Molnlycke Health Care Sdn Bhd has their private warehousing that offers better monitoring systems over the handling and storage of products as required by the management from time to time which would enhance the performance of their warehouse. They have the opportunity to specially design their facilities for automatic material handling equipment whereas if using public warehousing may have the same.

     2. They use separate warehouse for stored the raw material.

 The raw material that be used to produced their product such as powder, liquid, poison, flammable items and so on will be stored in their own warehouse.

    3.    The entire inventory is stored in special warehouse.

 They arrange the product in the warehouse which known as Temperature Control Room. This means of better design and structured lay-out. Molnlycke Health Care Sdn Bhd can manage their inventory in a much more easy way and maintain the quality of their product.

    4.    Use fort lift to move the entire inventory.

 They have their own fort lift and make the process in the warehouse more organize. They can handle and carry their inventory that is fragile more careful. There is less likelihood or error in the case of private warehousing since the company’s products are handled by its own employees who are able to identify the products of their own company.

    5.    Proper segregation.

 They arrange their product by using labeling and product identification with expired date. Thus, they also use visualization indicator to ease their worker in term carry out the product when necessary.

    6. MRP System.

 Every product will be record in MRP System in term to store in inventory warehouse. This system will record the maximum, minimum and safety stock.
